Hey everyone, I need some advice. I recently won a BMW M550i on DBC Brokerage’s auction site, and it arrived two days ago. Turns out, I misunderstood—I thought it was an actual M5 (since it has the same engine), but it’s not. I want to reject it and get a refund. Has anyone gone through DBC’s refund process? How long does it take to get funds back? How soon do they pick up the car?

They have a proper M5 listed now, and the auction ends in 8 days—will I get my refund in time to bid? I’m worried they won’t refund fast enough. Any experiences?

Hey starsushi, don’t stress—DBC is actually really good with refunds. I bought a Ram 3500 from them last year and had to cancel due to personal reasons. They processed it the same day I requested, money was back in 24 hours also they scheduled pickup within 5 days (no hassle). Just contact their support ASAP and explain the situation. They’re pretty understanding if the car is still in the same condition.

Same here—I returned a boat because the trailer was different. Money was refunded in 1 business day, pickup was within a week. DBC is one of the few auction houses that actually stands by their listings.

DBC Brokerage has a transparent and flexible 14-day return policy. Unlike traditional auction houses that enforce strict "as-is" terms, they provide buyers with peace of mind by allowing returns for any reason within the 14-day window—no questions asked.

Perhaps we could all benefit from DBC implementing a mandatory “confirmation checklist” before placing bids – a quick prompt ensuring bidders have reviewed key details like make/model, condition notes, and mileage. This small
